Teslong Borescope

I see where you mention this being a long version for muzzleloaders....on the Amazon site I see one noted compatible with I Phone 16 for a little more money ( model NTG 100-C ) being 45 inches long...what do you use to view the images ?????
I have the NTG 100......just measured it at about 47 inches....I view on my Android phone or on PC.

I typically use my phone, sometimes the laptop. The laptop is just plaug and play. As soon as the cable is plugged in, it opens up the camera on screen. From the phone end, you'll need an app. I've only got experience from the Android side. There's a big difference in the offerings for apps. Some are free. Some are paid. Some are more feature rich than others. The one thing to watch is some of the free apps will dumb down the resolution on you unless you pay for the full app so if you try an app and think boy, this thing sucks. It's the app. Not the camera.

I use my laptop.

For purposes of comparison, below is a chart showing the Teslong rifle borescopes with pricing currently available on Amazon. The NTG 100C model apparently has an "upgraded" connector for use with smart phones. They should also work with laptops, PCs.

The more expensive model has a 5" monitor. All have the same length and any of them can be used on long barrels. All come with six mirrors of different sizes, from 0.2-inch & 0.23-inch & 0.27-inch & 0.33-inch & 0.39-inch.

Well I bit the bullet last night and ordered the NTG 100-C as I have an IPhone 16 ....$100.79 later and it's on my doorstep today . I have to say the images come through clear on both my phone and laptop , with the laptop being far better visually as I seem to get only a partial frame with the phone....this may just be a learning curve a I've only had it an hour....now to learn about what I'm looking at !!!! Frankly it scares the bejesus out of me ... looks like the barrel is beat up something awful.....looks like long scratches, clean with some smooth shiny spots( lead ?) waiting on some Kroil which will be here Friday and will run some JB bore paste through it to see how that cleans it up....The rifle I'm having concerns about is my 45-70 Pedersoli Sharps BPCR, having had some serious leading issues arise at our shoot last summer. It performed extremely well up to 385 m but fell flat on it's face at 500 m....(hoping it was due to changing my alloy mix to 30:1, where at 20:1 the leading was manageable ).Being able to see now what is actually going on in there should be a great help once I know what I'm looking at....

The inexpensive borescope has been the barrel builder's dream and the gun maker's nightmare as people who don't know any better can suddenly look at their rifle bore in detail.

The only thing that matters, is how the rifle shoots. What the bore looks like is basically irrelevant.

Well, kinda/sorta. But you can see what different methods or products are working better for cleaning.

Bandana.......will be interesting to hear what you find. BPCR barrels and cleaning are very interesting to me....be fun to know if it's leading and what works.....hope you report, I've played with lots of options to deal with leading and just general BPC "dirt".

Borescopes are sort of like digital cameras, drones, and audio books were like when they first started seeing use in the peasant world. “I’ll never use one of those fool things…..blah blah”. I bought my first digital camera over 20 years ago. It was quite interesting the reactions some people had. Drones invoked some real negative reactions. Audio books brought out some strange reactions as well.
I have two Teslong scopes, one at my shop and one at home. I use a pc laptop at the shop and at home. I can’t seem to get them to work on a big screen Mac at home or the shop. I haven’t tried very hard, I guess.
When I first posted about having one, my goodness! A toy! Not necessary! What good are they!

" . . . The only thing that matters, is how the rifle shoots. What the bore looks like is basically irrelevant. "

The 'relevancy' is if/when you can 'look inside' to see what may be the problem. i.e., A Carbon Ring will begin to affect accuracy by damaging the lead or gilded bullet. In 'cheap' 22lrs this may not occur for quite some time due to 'loose specs' of the chamber. My CZ-457 VMTR 'notices' the Ring at about 150-200 rounds, so I take a cleaning rod and C-4 solvent if I expect to shoot that much or more. And I clean All my 22s after EACH session.

That's like the Leupold of chamber necks. I've never seen that before. What I can tell is your very consistent with your trim length. Do you get issues with chambering sometimes? Cheers

No never had issues. I just use lee case length gauges and a cordless drill. Never had an issue with chambering but figured I dont need to be trimming as often as I do. This way I can see what my actual chamber length is rather than going off of published trim lengths.

I have the Teslong rigid & Teslong flexible to plug into a smart device.

Simple, cheap, w/ multiple mirror options....but they will NEVER compare to my Gradient Lens Slimline Bore Scope in clarity.

Case in point-
Teslong rigid or flexible w/ O ring to keep it centered in the bore , they will NOT show a clear pic of a gas hole to gas block in an AR platform barrel for alignment purposes.

The Gradient lens Slimline allows clear pic from bore to gas block to gas tube.

I can't see the "Gradient Lens Slimline Bore Scope" on the Hawkeye site. Are you meaning an 'angled view' up the gas hole to see thru there ? To align the gas block ?
