CZ Trail 600 - in 7.62x39 or .223?

Gun sales are not what they were when the Oil patch was booming during the Harper years and before all the ILL-Liberal OIC's.... it's a buyers market for the rare folks with cash to spare.

So I tried my new CZ Trail 600 Plus at the club today.

Overall was pretty good, though it was disappointing that I could not get ANY of my metal STANAG or LAR15 mags seated, doesn't matter if it is open or closed bolt. Also, surprisingly I couldn't get a good cheek weld or whatever, with the electronic muffs on - the stock kept banging into my Howard Leights - last time this happened was with my Sub2000. I didn't shoot a ton of rounds with this, as I was completed enamored with my new Alcor, which was a super pleasant surprise and it was rock solid than any other semi auto .223 out of the box that I have ever shot. I decided to run the rest of my rounds through the Alcor. I did do about 20 rounds with the Trail 600 Plus.

I went with the CZ600 Trail in .223 due to the fact that I primarily enjoy longer distance target shooting and wanted the flatter trajectory. It's a hoot to shoot, and I have my technique down to lock out any wobble in the collapsible stock. So far no issues hitting gongs out to 300m. I also love how compact it folds away. Only regret is buying it at full price last fall and then seeing the fire sale prices around Black Friday/Boxing Day.
