MRA Renegade

It's a lot of fun. I use H110 powder as I can use it for sub and supersonic loads. I have used cast and copper jacket bullets (210-245 grain bullets). I'm using Speer TNT HP 125 grains bullets for my hunting load. Hodgdonreloading.com has data for both.
I'm not into reloading (don't shoot enough), but I ordered the Hornady 190GR Sub-X, I'm slightly optimistic they might also be good enough out to 150-200 yards on coyotes. I've seen both yes and no's on this. I also ordered the S&J hardware linear comp to try to reduce outward noise.

Doing a lot to try to keep neighbours happy lol

I built one from a NEA donor in 762X39 and found it would gum up after 4 lacquered-cased rounds and maybe 12 copper-washed surplus. What was your experience?

Extraction in regular bolt guns with either friggin sucks badly enough (Well, Barnaul was pretty smooth)

Wouldn't wanna see them in a straight pull. Unless you want to practice your mortar method lol

Thinking REALLY hard about joining you all with the 300 BLK. 12.5 or 16. So tempting but....

The Mk1 had no bolt release.
Mk2 had a junk bolt release....that is fragile and barely works
Mk2.1 has a functional bolt release.
Just a quick side question, don't mean to derail... I've been trying to find a thread here on CGN that details what improvements were made and how to ID a "Mk 2.1" gun. Do you recall in which thread these details were laid out?

I have to wonder how sticky the extraction might be with a straight-walled 450 BM. Wish I could find a 458 socom barrel and bolt, that would give me a good excuse to build a Renegade. I missed my chance when MRA briefly offered barrels and bolts prior to the OIC...
I’ve got one built with 450BM. Zero extraction issues, smooth as butter.

I only had occasional issues with the Lacquered case ammo, once tge bore/breach got dirty. No extraction issues with copper washed or brown painted Norinco.
I did already have ~4k rounds through the rifle when it was an AR15 though.
