I've been looking for an nice M37 for a while. The M37 Featherweight was the 1st gun I owned way back in 1975. I bought it new for the price of $175 taxes in. It was lost in shipping when I moved to NB in 1985 and wanted another since then but did not want a full choke gun but one I could use for upland with IC.
Fast forward to a couple weeks ago at the skeet club when a friend pulled out this fine old M37 and handed it to me. Much to my surprise it was a 26" VR with IC factory fixed choke with a serial number prefix of "ULT" which indicates it's a very seldom seen ultralight model. Just so happened I had with me a nice old Parker Hale M81 in 308 that this fellow was going to buy so we agreed to make a trade instead.
Weight is a shade less than 6lbs. Limbsaver pad will be switched out to an Ithaca reproduction pad shortly. Gun is in VG condition with no other alterations.
I was a very happy guy with that deal.
