Odd title for a thread. I own three Remingtons, all three are fantastic guns - and a very significant slice of the firearms buying public clearly agrees. All stars have their trajectories.
Their 870 shotgun is a good example. Not only the most successful shotgun in history, the most aesthetic receiver design to boot. Sure, they denigrated it in later years with ugly plastic examples. But what makers don't make ugly plastic guns anymore on account of market pressures? More a statement on the demise of buying public's tastes than a smirch on any gunmaker.
