Very nice gentlemen! Keep them coming...

I've got 14 hrs invested so far and nada to show for it...yet. I'll be back out there tomorrow and every other day this week.
 
In the pouring rain Saturday morning, had 2 Tom's running in at Tom decoy, 3 more jakes followed. I got one of the Tom's. First time hunter with me missed the other but connected with a jake next day at same spot

This morning, big tom crossed trail where I saw a hen yesterday, strutting and gobbling in bush in front of me, won't / didn't come out to me. My partners saw 2 toms from same blind in photo but were heading for corn field we dont have permission to hunt.

Edit - last morning to hunt, perfect conditions but not a gobble anywhere ...

Yeah, sucked... took a dead spruce branch to the eye building a blind for turkeys... it bled like crazy, all I could see was a red haze. That is the end of turkeys for the year... jumping right into a jam packed bear season.

That absolutely sucks! Vision is something most of us take for granted! I hope it heals quickly and without any permanent damage. Speedy recovery man!!
