I've had a Rem700 5R Mil-spec forever (traded my first rifle in for it) that, while a great shooter, I want to turn into a clone-ish M40A3/A5 build for various reasons.
I have the majority of the Badger-correct parts on backorder from Wolverine Supplies, and I had ATRS pegged for the required work, including fitting a Bartlein barrel and milling the clip-slot for the correct Badger scope rail, as well as eventually providing the McMillan A4 stock and bedding into it.
I've had enlightening discussions with Shaun, who walked me through the details of what would be required, and I was looking forward to getting the build underway once I had gathered the required parts.
With ATRS now unfortunately gone - who in Canada is left that can handle this kind of work? RDSC is focused on producing their own rifles, so they've said no.
Do I have to go through the hassle of getting this done in the US?
