CDNN HK P7's

It is a German police surplus holster for the P7. This one came from Mesa Tactical in Arizona. If you check around the net, there are actually a number of different variations on this same basic design being sold in the U.S. right now. Some (like mine) were obviously never issued. Others show wear and were issued, but they are basically giving them all away. I think I paid $28 for mine.

If you want to keep the holster wear down, G96 your pistol. Also use either a silicone lubricant for the inside of the holster, or Show Sheen for horses works as well. This combination will help with the draw and reduce the wear/tear.

It isn't the buying or registering of the pistol which is the problem, it is the crossing of an international border which is the PIA. I brought one collectible pistol in from the USA a few years ago and it is not only a lengthy process but it is quite expensive. I think it added about $300 - $400 to the cost of the pistol IIRC.

I bought my grade B from a Florida FFL that arranged a group buy on the Sig forum. He apparently sold 120 of the P7 PSP last month just from the Sig guys. He claims he has been able to cherry pick his grade Bs. Anything too rough he just sends back. Apparently I might get a nice cosmetic grade B :) I guess I will see in the 12 weeks or so it will take Questar to bring her in. No real PIA, you just pay your money and wait. As far as cost it's exactly the same as buying in country assuming you can get it.

Just to stick my nose in your business a minute, but if you made your purchase from "Steve" off the Sig forum I think you will be well pleased with the P7 you get.

I had already dealt with my salesman at CDNN (Neal) before I stumbled up on some posts on the Sig forum from folks who had bought grade "B" P7's from Steve or I certainly would have purchased from him myself. All of those buyers were very happy with the condition of their pistols. Several pictures were posted, and all of those pistols appeared to be in fantastic condition.

I never saw a post regarding Steve or the quality of the pistols he was selling that was negative.

Contratulations & Best Wishes,

Jesse

Yes, indeed it was Steve. I chatted with him on the phone a couple of times, seems like a real nice guy. I would definitely buy from him again.

I didn't mean to imply the majority of P7M8 were "collectors only", but I do believe that a lot of them are......

My response was meant to be tongue-in-cheek. And I do agree with you that many who have recently bought new P7M8's are squirreling them away especially the numbered (xyz of 500) "last run" ones that were available in the US. I know of two people who bought new P7M8's who have no intention of shooting them...
