Brand New to Canada: FS-PRO

Did anybody else not receive a spare parts kit? Figured it would of been sent out by now....
Very frustrating situation.

Each shipment we ask for the kits and then when it arrives we get a hodgepodge of misc parts, then a promise to fix it next time. 5th time's the charm? Shipment is at airport now, so 1-2 weeks for clearance and trucking to AB

Still havent had a chance to shoot mine yet. Will these cycle reliably right off the bat? Or is there a process into getting then to cycle 100%

Mine cycled Challenger trap rounds from the first mag tube loaded. I did strip my gun down prior to shooting, removed all the preservative oil which mine was swimming in and lubed it properly.
So no need to burn up 100 to 200 heavy game, buck or slug rounds to get it to run properly. Sample size of one...

Had mine out again today. Approximately 500 total rounds through it now without a single feed, fire or ejection issue. Haven't even cleaned it yet, except for initial clean when new. Did drop a little more lube on the bolt though today.
Gun needed zero break in...started with Challenger trap loads. Feeds and shoots pretty much any round, even 1 Oz trap loads.
Groups slugs at 25 yards in a tight cluster from the bench. Will try it at 50/100 yards next range trip.

Sounds like it's accurate and reliable, but does it feel decent? Ie is it plastic feeling? For $600 bucks I really want one but I don't know how they're giving so much value with the cool folding design without at least cutting some corners on quality.

We put 4 boxes of challenger low recoil slug and challenger training buck through my buddy's FS Pro straight out of the box without cleaning factory lube or adding anything else. Zero issues, gun was a lot of fun. Small sample size but I was very impressed with the fit and finish and performance of this Turkish Delight.

The stock and forend let this gun down a bit, but they are perfectly servicable, but look a little cheap. The same gun can be bought with wood furniture. As far as the guts of it, it appears well made. Time will tell the longevity of it. I'm not a big shotgun guy to be honest so to drop two to three thousand on a semi wasn't going to happen as I am more of a rifle/pistol shooter.
Turkey does produce some very good firearms, but some junk remains and many people have gotten stuck with a steaming Turkish pile over the years. So far my overall impression is very high. It's not a $600 Beretta/Benelli, but it is amazing value I think.
Keep in mind they have a life time warranty which as long as Tactical Imports exists covers you if something major breaks.
I have bought a few firearms fromTI and found them good to deal with and responsive to emails

Their policy says: "Defective products will be replaced, exchanged or repaired at our discretion. "

That wording is important because manufacturing defects usually appear relatively early, while most later issues are related to long-term use, normal wear, lack of maintenance or ammunition quality. I suspect defects resulted from long-term usage are not covered. Perhaps, as a peace of mind they offer spare parts kits despite lifetime warranty. And I rather prefer to have one or two in my spare parts bin.

Not sure whether the manufacturer itself provides the lifetime warranty and passes it onto reseller, or rather the reseller takes on the risk. I guess, from a business perspective, lifetime warranty is a very effective marketing ploy to increases buyer confidence and boost sales, especially in the Turkish firearms market. The bet is on most of these firearms will likely see low round counts anyways. That's why rental firearms are specifically excluded. And the spare parts are cheap, as long as they are available.

Although, if they do cover long-term wear or aging-related failures - the financial risk could become significant over time as more and more guns enter circulation, more and more models become discontinued and spare parts become unavailable. Let alone the manufacturer may no longer be in business or brake contract. So, they may eventually be forced to replace or refund entire worn-out firearms, and when that trend will start growing - that's where it ends.

Anyways, I appreciate TI for their business of bringing in interesting and affordable things. Especially, I like a parts kit option along with the new firearm - more than their warranty. Sometimes, it is cheaper and efficient to replace a $20 part which you already have on hands, rather than pay for shipping and wait forever for warranty repair. And TI knows it too.

PS: it's been 3+ months and they still struggle to bring in parts kits for the current model being produced and imported. Not TI fault, but it does give a good idea of how long warranty repairs might take.

I agree on your points made overall. For a young guy that plans to put thousands of rounds annually through his combat shotgun a name brand like Beretta or Benelli probably makes sense. Parts unlikely to realistically ever dry up for one of those.
But for a 66 year old like me that after playing with this, testing loads will likely on a annual basis going forward will likely put less than 200 rounds through this
So a lifetime warranty is different for me versus a 20 year old...then again my WW 2 vet father will be 101 this coming November.
$600 isn't a lot to risk on a gun even if it becomes unfixable due to lack of parts down the road. Axor sells internationally, so alot of these are out there.
Maybe a $600 parts gun is the answer...
