Apologies for the delay, life... you all understand. Good progress was made on prototype V2 and it could be sent out soon after a few finishing touches if anyone wants it.
This brings me to a crossroads on design, please see short video. It's regarding fitment and bolt tolerances versus the spec I machine to. I can do these to my current spec, and run the risk it's too big for your bolt. I can leave final fitment to you, so you just file it until it fits yours nicely. Or, I can reduce the dimension I machine to on prototype V3 so that it fits both of the bolts I have on hand here, then we'll see if it gets too sloppy in the one bolt. I don't know, whoever want's the yet-to-be-machined handle talk to me about it.
Once I finish these two handles I don't think I will be making any more of these for some time. As I've said, this is a hobby for me and I've got a lot of other things going on right now. At about 6 hours labour per handle, unless you want to pay me $300 for it, it's not really worth my limited free time to do. Maybe next winter if I get bored and just want to machine something for fun, I'd do some more, but I have my own projects I really need to get back to promptly.
So, that's where we're at. I've got a working prototype design, 2 handles up for grabs presently, then future supply in limited runs at some point when I can get around to it. It would be helpful to know who's actually interested in one of these if I were to do another production run of them, because of the setups I have to do on one machine for it, how many parts I need to batch produce is important to workflow. Anywho, let me know.
