Quick load help. 325wsm 160 ttsx

110 yard cedar tree, resting on a boulder with a couple bean bags.
69 grains of big game on the left 68 grain on the right. POI didn’t really change.
Seeing two so close is a good sign for me. With the rest I had I’m not surprised with the flyer, but very happy with the two so close together.
I’ll load up 20 and do some more testing.
I had emailed Barnes a while ago and they said the bullet was designed for 2000 fps.
I happy with the outcome.

Sures Burns a LOT of powder for only 3050 fps with a 160 even if it is a 20 " but what the heck thay make it every day

I too have bought a few boxes of 160TTSX for my .325. I've hunted with this rifle since 2007 and had settled on 180 NBT at around 3100fps which have never failed me. Im watching this 160TTSX thread for any proven loads. Thanks!

2000 fps is the minimum velocity for reliable expansion.

Correct that’s min velocity for expansion.
I shot 168ttsx out of a 300wsm @3150 and it was indeed too fast for for that bullet. It acted I bit like a hammer bullet. Now even with the bullets loosing all petals it killed a 58” moose just fine and no meat wasted.
I learnt later it was designed for the 30-06

For anyone wondering I used Barnes own load data info 2.860” coal. For the 160 ttsx.
Plenty of jump.

Yeah, at least big game is slightly more reasonably priced.

Confirmed the 160grain load at longer ranges today, Im very happy with the results.
The metal plate is sitting at 530 yards, 25”x25”
It held .8 MOA , it was windy enough to keep the mirage down.
