Brand New to Canada: SG-12 "SPAS"

Jesus, you reporting in from Bear's Butthole Manitoba or something!?
They closed down our closest Post Office, that was at our local General store, maybe 10k away. Now we have to truck all the way to Bragg Creek AB to get parcels.

We’re at the base of the Rockies - beautiful property but a long haul to civilization.

Bears butthole AB! - should name our property that. Got enough bears.

The confusing part (if Gen 1 or Gen 2) is that the pics on TI website shows both Gen's...the original pic is the Gen 1...but the pics of the shotgun on the tree is Gen 2...or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Obviously hoping for Gen 2...but not caring at this point...loves me some SPAS
Is there really any big differences between the Gen 1 and 2 in build quality, appearance and reliability? From what I see in the photos on the TI website, they’re all the same, it’s not showing 2 different versions or generations.

The below video shows the differences. I can't remember them all, but off the top of my head they deleted the pic rail compatible front top for a more rounded top that matched the original better, the colour is a better clone-ish match, and so is the stock angle. The stock has a pin or rivet, can't remember which, as the Gen 1s screw kept backing out.

TI can certainly tell the specifics, as we can thank them for as sticking to their as authentic as practical clone-ish Spas 12 guns that we have the Canadian Gen 1 / Yankee Gen 2. Thanks again, Tactical Imports!

Ah K, so this is not using the 'Super 90 M3' {clone} receiver then..? My 1st thought was that. That M90 is only 20" barrel, so this is 1.5" inch longer.
As per like the original SPAS is 21.5" Nice they kept it true, but I prefer shorter barrels on pistol gripped shot guns. : P Def. am buying one!
I actually had, like 20+ years ago, the SAS pump only, looked like a regular shotgun, but with that same kool metal folding stock.
No it’s not using the “Super 90 M3” clone receiver.

You are
We were the architects for this entire endeavor. US Distributors work on a net 90, where manufacturers have to front the inventory and then wait for payment. We fronted the full development costs in 2024 and despite all of the hardships with the bans and nearly going under, would not let this thing out until it was right. The original design had a plastic heatshield and different handguard, was hideous. We saw the potential, took that and made it into what it was today. The gen 1 seen above was someone at Sulun deciding to start production before we finalized the design, and we flatly refused to accept for all of the obvious reasons. It should also be noted that our MSRP is significantly lower then those selling in the USA...
You guys are doing gods work and can’t thank you enough, getting grail gun made my god damn month! Plus the price is impossible to beat!

Based of the rockies, 6 kids, nice property aways from the city and still some cash left for guns. Man youre crushing it.

Spas and hardballer... great combo!
Isn’t that the same .45 used
To be fair, I feel that being better than the original is a pretty low bar in this case
agreed. I had the opportunity many years ago to have a few original SPAS 12’s in my collection. Very cool guns with a very unique operating system and concept. The few rounds I put through them before selling them off were uneventful and without issues. With that being said , some professional users had concerns with them jamming, double feeding and stove piping.. ammunition used was the usual culprit however. Semi mode likes full power rounds and not so much low recoil /less lethal rounds. This in itself was the premise for the dual semi/pump op system. I truly think operator error was the underlying issue as it was the Egyptians who seemed to have the most problems with the guns in their governments service. I’m thinking from what I’ve seen with Turkish clones , these issues with gas piston redesign should be rectified. Time will tell. Looking forward to re-engaging with the SPAS 12 platform again after almost 35 years!

We're in the Cascades...same sort of thing, huge acreage and no neighbors. Everyone that does live around here has kids. When we were in the city, NOBODY was having kids anymore, almost like the two things were related.

2 of my 4 kids have had kids too, and the 4th is dating. The one that didn't have kids lives in Vancouver and works for the socialist government....and thinks that kids are parasites.

Patterns are hard to ignore.

I dont know if its the city attracting these people or making them. Maybe a little bit of both. I couldnt enjoy living somewhere without some mountains and forest either.
