A roller locked HK clone would be a great idea. They can't be that difficult to make, there are a number of US manufacturers creating MP5 clones these days. Also HK sold the tooling for the MP5 to a Turkish company.

Pretty sure the people want an HK91 clone for the CDN market.

I get the free market, this is just ripping each other off. Inflating prices on everything. Fortunately I am unaffected this far into the game. Sad times for us when we practice price gouging and attacking the distributor on open forum rather then seeking to resolve an issue. We are our own worse enemy. Some need to look in the mirror.

Straight out of the box. Didn’t even check for barrel obstructions. 😳

The first squirrel I shot could’ve been beanbagged by a desiccant pack 🐿️ — followed immediately by a load of #6. 🪦

He probably thought I was using less-lethal for a split nanosecond.

I’m going to replace the bolt with a Ruger 10/22 bolt and see if it cycles .22 reliably.

If it doesn’t, I’ll be contacting TI about a warranty claim.

Buddy and I put about 8 boxes of 2¾ trap shells down range today. Very reliable with the few failures likely going away after more break-in. A few double feeds from the mag when fully loaded. Something binds the magazine spring when I try to over feed a shell that won't fit, so then the first shell presented is loose in the tube with about 3/4 inch of play. Likely an easy fix I'll look at later.

A couple failures to feed when shells get stuck on the edge of the barrel. Seemed to happen more in pump mode so might have been short stroking.

Had to take it apart initially when the pump handle became uncoupled. I blame that on me not putting it back together correctly after I stripped and cleaned it. No issues all afternoon after I fixed it.

The stock was not nearly as awful as I expected. I was busting clays better than I've ever done. I will definitely be buying a fixed stock when/if available.

The bolt appears to be gouging the back of the receiver in one small spot. Bare aluminum has been deformed, and you can see aluminum transfer on the carrier where it is hitting. Looks to be a machining issue. Minor, doesn't appear to affect function.

Over all, we were both incredibly impressed with the function and shoot-ability of what we both figured was just a meme gun. I loved the swapping between pump and auto. I would buy again.

I wonder if I should apply a little strip of that super rubbery gorilla tape on the back of the receiver - to mitigate any bolt on receiver wear.

Then again, I’m not sure I’m going by to shoot this a whole lot. I bought it as more of of a conversation starter when Liberals come on my property asking for my vote.

😂 kidding!

I live in rural Alberta… they aren’t coming down my drive anytime soon.

It’s like strapping something down in your truck bed, but not ritualistically pulling on the strap and saying, “That ain’t goin’ anywhere!”

TI should require verifiable proof that every SPAS owner has completed at least one Jurassic Park, Terminator, gaming LARP.

It’s part of the break-in procedure 🤷
 
Here are pictures of the receiver damage and the bolt. It appears a corner of the bolt has not been relieved enough to clear the tool radius in the back of the receiver. I'll likely just toss the bolt in the mill and nock that corner off. Or maybe throw a chunk of urethane in there as a buffer. Sucks but also, meh. It is what it is. Didn't affect function.

Damn how many rounds did you fire? Something to keep an eye on for sure

Edit: nvm i see up it was 8 boxes , aka200 rounds

I first noticed the damage when doing the initial strip down and cleaning before firing anything. So damage happened from factory/distributor test firing. And then I made it a bit worse, but not much. I'm not terribly concerned by it.
