Sterling arms R9 returns

JR Cox is like herpes or hepatitis. He just won't go away.

X2 and never forget this entire Sterling Arms venture was funded by scamming people through selling range memberships and products at his business and suddenly declaring bankruptcy and refusing any refunds at all.

Snitch and scammer to the core, anyone can google his name and see his legacy of ####.

I totally understand the hate-on for JR, however a non-restricted Sterling RC9 in 9mm auto might be the only 9mm in a semi-auto rifle that one can own.....:)

Being non-restricted will put this firearm in a category that the bag-lickers will not know you have if they decide to ban it.

Sounds like a win, if they are not ridiculously priced?...........

Must've forgot about the Henry Homesteader entirely lol, and it's got an NR FRT to appease that crowd. I'd much rather put my money behind an actual gun maker than a snake in a silly suit trying make you fall for his newest grift

What gets me is how someone is expected to "ship" the now prohib R9s back to Sterling...

I wondered the same (and still do) but I *think* you can legally arrange a pickup from your address and have it shipped to wherever as you aren't actually transporting it (vaguely remember reading about this before) but this advice is worth exactly what you paid for it and if it is not accurate I am sure someone will enlighten me sharpish.

I have to assume there must be a path forward or else why would this company offer such a thing if it is a catch 22?

I mean technically the grey area is getting it there, once there and parts swapped it is legal to ship it or take it wherever NR laws allows (pretty wide).

Anyone with an original R9 had already made their earlier peace with JR Cox's actions in regards to the Swissarms rifles. Otherwise they wouldn't have bought an R9....

With that in mind, anyone with an R9 who doesn't take advantage of Cox's latest offer is an utter fool. For the price of 2-way shipping, Sterling takes the hit for a new Receiver set and the swap over of the customer's original parts, providing the prohibited R9 owner with a NR RC9 in return. That is one heck of a deal, and is coming directly out of J.R. Cox's financial hide.

Haters of J.R. Cox will no doubt continue to hate regardless of his acts of contrition. No matter how you view it however, that free R9/RC9 Receiver swap represents an exceptional level of customer service/support and value in this day and age of extremely tight profit margins. Hate if you must, but you can't overlook Cox's commitment to his customers.....

The one guy that ALWAYS comes to a documented rat and scamming thief's defense while trying to paint him as a hero and pioneer to the firearms community.

So much commitment to customers that he caused firearms to get prohibited and years later sell range memberships/products right up until the moment he declared bankruptcy without warning anyone that he was about to purposely fold his operation and run off with the capital to name the major events he is responsible for.

The fact that they will take the previous rifle back and upgrade it to the new legal version speaks volumes
Like JR or not at least he’s doing something good for a change
For a different maker to do something similar, Crusader for example would have to offer to take back cryptos and upgrade them to backland hunters for free and no way that’s happening lol
