I can’t believe in the year of our lord 2026 canadian gun owners are still falling for the “next gen batch will fix it” trap. These are $1000. They should work out of the box. The Turkish Lira isn’t worth diddly squat, even compared to our dollar. There is no reason these shouldn’t be held to a higher standard at that point. Yeah they’re cool but your pins shouldn’t look like they came from babies first gunsmithing project.

What’s the the deal with the pin fix? Is this bolt release pin not long enough and that’s why it’s so stiff ?
Anyone know the size to order?
Anything other than locktite magtube and break before I run this? I saw someone say something about the mag spring stopper
I put an oring on the mag tube sling swivel, the rattling around was annoying

some pics compared to a Franchi PA-8 with a SPAS-12 heat shield & handguard and SPAS-12 stock. Honestly this thing is a great deal for the price. If the base gun is a $500 shotgun, then $500 for the heat shield, handguard, pistol grip and folding stock is an absolute bargain. The heat shield is a pretty complex stamping and not easily (aka cheaply) replicated. Same goes for the folding stock. You can see the slight differences from the pics, but you are getting 95% of a SPAS-12 for 30% of the cost of a SPAS-12

People should do both. Celebrate its arrival to the Canadian Market, thank TI and Turkey for making it possible..... but costumers should also hold these companys accountable for inexcusable flaws and dumb design chioces so that they FIX those issues for the next batch.
The Type 81s were a perfect example of this. Subsequent designs had improvements made. Future imports and sale went alot smoother.
In the same sentence, T.I. explicitly stated that this was not released until their strict requirements were met and that appears to be complete bull#### and they knowingly shipped out garbage guns because they know it would sell out before people start calling them out.
Strongest words of advice to people I can give is to ship this firearm back and demand a refund, if they refuse to issue a refund then hit them back with a credit card charge back.
T.I. thinks it's perfectly acceptable to exploit desperate firearm owners as documented through this thread so hit their credit rating and processing back in return so they learn a lesson.
They will continue this cycle unless people stand up to it.
If this is how you run your business you don't deserve to succeed.
The people who can't cope can call me anti gun liberal bla bla bla but I don't tolerate scammers and will openly call them out.

I had the real Franchi SPAS 12. It was heavy, unwieldy, the pump action was so stiff, semi auto recoil was not bad at all due to its heavy weight.

I feel like it’s a pretty big reach to call this a better functioning shotgun when a good chunk of them have a totally inoperable bolt release.
So had it out again this week.
I went and picked up a brick of challenger buckshot and slugs, probably spent half the price of the shotgun on rounds...
The mag extension still comes loose-ish every 40 or 50 rounds, but otherwise nothing at all.
It's now running bird loads about 90% of the time, but the pump works really smooth.
If anything, I'd like to have a rubber buttstock piece for the back, after about 100 rounds, the shoulder was cranky.
Overall, I am still completely content with this. I was stoked when I first got my M4, back before turkenellis were even a thing, but I found it quite forward heavy, this thing has better balance. It's no benelli, but it is a ton of fun to shoot.
Buy it or don't. Someone asked for a field strip video, it starts at around 6:19. (watch on youtube and pick 4K to see all the dog hair everywhere)

And miss all the entertainment? Nah, I'll stick until gen15 or so.
I've had no issues, most others reporting the same besides a vocal minority, and some with an obvious bias toward the shotgun without even seeing one in person. I've personally handled an original spas and can say the one I received is of a better quality functionally and aesthetically. But if raining on the enthusiasm of others on a gun forum is what qualifies as entertainment to you then feel free to stick around
Obviously the full auto version is. But last time I looked into this, pre OICs.... the firearm actually wasnt prohibited by name in Legistlation like AKs, the SVD, FAL etc. So technically if the company produced more semi auto versions those could theoretically enter the country much like the Type 81s did..... however of course there classification would be at the mercy of RCMP interpretation. And if it wasnt listed on the OICs.
Of course this is also a pipe dream.
