For a NR 97, how long its total length would be? Will it fit into a backpack?

My full length Type 97A has an overall length of just over 29", and that's with a listed barrel length of 458mm (18.03"). So if you could get them brought in with an extra half inch of barrel, you'd be set at 29.5" OAL.

My big backpack is 27". I guess I can put my sock on the barrel. That will do it.

I tried playing with mine and I wouldn't shoot it left handed with the iron sights, but it's good to see that with a holo sight it will work. At least the lefty's have an option.

I noticed the brass appears to hit the back of the ejection port and then bounces forward at a 2:00 ish angle. You're a brave person to risk having your face/mouth that close. But it does seem to work. Still pretty close to picking brass out of your teeth though.

I'm going to mould some Kydex to make a deflector that wraps over and behind the port. That should do.
