Campro projectiles ?

Maybe Whelan is asking about the 180gr 303 SP then? Presumably if Campro went to the effort of making a SP they intend it to be hunted with. Campro uses plating on pistol bullets but in my understanding most of the rifle bullets are just simple cup and core jacketed bullets.
My understanding as well. Their .224 bullets did not shoot well for me but their 9mm HP are very accurate in my pistol.

Are the 45-70 405 good for hunting deer and black bear?
I can’t see why not. I’m pushing mine with IMR 4198 and keeping it under Ruger no1 and Marlin start pressures. And shooting with my H&R Buffalo classic.
I think if you keep your distances respectful you shouldn’t have any problems. They’ll definitely punch completely thru deer as I’ve yet to dig one deep outa the sand berm.

Does anyone know if they sell to the public wholesale?

75k to 100k bullets

I know shipping would be brutal from Quebec, but it could go pallet day and Ross I'm thinking

Just curious if anyone has purchased from then directly?

I tried some of their .224 HPBT Jackedted in my .223; not great.

I do use their 9mm 147 gr plated hollow point. They cut a clean hole in a target like a wadcutter.

I use the .224 bullets just for plinking, I'll use something else if I want to shoot accurately. Since the latest ban I no longer need longer range accuracy, so PC'd cast and Campro are all I'm loading now. As I just did a 2 hr batch on my Dillon 550 for other stuff the boy blunder doesn't like.

CamPro 147gr work pretty good in my .30-06 at reduced speed.

I got similar results from my 30-06 today at 1950fps. The 22cal 55gr FMJ have not shot as well. Only 2nd time out with those.

So 2026, I purchased 2 bags of the .308 180gr fmj "PSP" ,... For all intent an purpose , it is just a Exposed Soft Lead Point....

Going to load them up literally for trigger time on the 308s without "wasten" hunting loads.

Keen too see how they shoot in the FRANCHI and the TIKKA

Feeding my .358's with low cost 20 cent Campro 180gr .38 Super for plinking including my recent purchase .358 Winchester Ruger M77 Hawkeye. Save money live better.

300 grs 45-70 work very well in my Marlin XLR.
1" at 100 m, for five shot group.

147 grs 308 bullets are doing great for plinking, in my 300 Blackout

200 grs 44 magnum bullets produce a ragged hole from my Henry Big Boy with 16.5 " barrel.

As I don't hunt, and don't have to kill anything, I am not sure how these bullets would preform on game, but for plinking and all around informal target shooting, they are great

I used thousands of their 124 and 146 gr 9mm and 55 gr 223 rem projectiles, and couldn't be happier. However, I do not hunt so I can't speak of their performance on that end. But for target shooting or competition or just general range use, they were my go-to projectiles before I quit reloading.

c a piece here..... SO not exactly the best prices , We were buying speer btsp / hot cor for .51c about 12-18months ago, now they minimum is .65c typically.

so i snag any .50c projies online, old stock stuff......

i should have enough tips to last me a while now though , between all the guns ... but we are averaging .65c a tip

Hey Mate,

What you call "tips", we call it bullets.

:);):);)

haha howdy mate, oh i hear ya, i just think it makes it easier to say it cost X per Tip than X per bullet, some people may think the bullet is a whole cartridge, an i would hate to give off that false hope of .50c Bullets :)

more like $2-a-poppers
