VR shooting simulator

I have a couple of hundred thousand rounds downrange on a VR pistol system so very familiar with it, absolutely stellar training tool.
I got the opportunity to try out Clay Hunt VR on a friends system and it was really good, if I’m not mistaken the gunstock he had was around $500 from the UK I think?
I’m seriously considering getting one, I keep thinking about it and as a new Alberta resident,,, I hear the winters are long, might need something to do indoors lol

Never used one. Do know a Berta shooter that has a few long run singles records for the province that used one still might.

My views on it are there is no consequence for poor form. A guy would might end up being very good at shooting VR that won’t translate into reality. Guys that say they shoot a 28ga better at skeet than 12 suffer this.

Our club shoots skeet all year, as long as it is -12 or warmer with wind chill, so we typically lose 4-6 shooting days due to cold.

Yes, you fellows are definitely hard core on the shooting out here, I remember reading posts you made about shooting in ridiculous winds lol.
I’ve been super busy lately on the weekends but I will definitely be out again soon to shoot with you fine folks Stubblejumper! Possibly today if I can convince the wife she doesn’t need me around to cook the turkey 😁

I will move the snowblower over to the high house soon, in preparation for winter. Today will be doubles with my waterfowl gun for a change. I picked up the turkey yesterday, she will take care of all preparations for tomorrow. I will move more firewood for her wood stove, so she can keep warm.

Clay Hunt VR has its place I think. Them cold days it helps pass time when unable to shoot the real deal. You do need a Gun stock that you can weight and set up as close to your gun as possible or you will be building poor mussel memory. Once you spend the time to get your sight picture and POI set up it’s a great training tool. Can view your movements to target, reaction time and where your shot placement was.

There is Clay Pro VR which sticks onto your shotgun which fixes the change in weight and moment, I find it nice to practice with at home

Currently have the latest version stock from TextureVR. Was thinking I’d have to order up Clay Pro VR as it looks like a great alternative. But it appears it’s a magnetic mount for on top of the rib. Would have to get creative and attach something metal to my aluminum rib first. Then if it left a mark we now have a whole new problem with me not liking any marks on my trap gun. Haha.
