Our club shoots skeet all year, as long as it is -12 or warmer with wind chill, so we typically lose 4-6 shooting days due to cold.I have a couple of hundred thousand rounds downrange on a VR pistol system so very familiar with it, absolutely stellar training tool.
I got the opportunity to try out Clay Hunt VR on a friends system and it was really good, if I’m not mistaken the gunstock he had was around $500 from the UK I think?
I’m seriously considering getting one, I keep thinking about it and as a new Alberta resident,,, I hear the winters are long, might need something to do indoors lol
Yes, you fellows are definitely hard core on the shooting out here, I remember reading posts you made about shooting in ridiculous winds lol.Our club shoots skeet all year, as long as it is -12 or warmer with wind chill, so we typically lose 4-6 shooting days due to cold.
I will move the snowblower over to the high house soon, in preparation for winter. Today will be doubles with my waterfowl gun for a change. I picked up the turkey yesterday, she will take care of all preparations for tomorrow. I will move more firewood for her wood stove, so she can keep warm.Yes, you fellows are definitely hard core on the shooting out here, I remember reading posts you made about shooting in ridiculous winds lol.
I’ve been super busy lately on the weekends but I will definitely be out again soon to shoot with you fine folks Stubblejumper! Possibly today if I can convince the wife she doesn’t need me around to cook the turkey![]()
There is Clay Pro VR which sticks onto your shotgun which fixes the change in weight and moment, I find it nice to practice with at homeClay Hunt VR has its place I think. Them cold days it helps pass time when unable to shoot the real deal. You do need a Gun stock that you can weight and set up as close to your gun as possible or you will be building poor mussel memory. Once you spend the time to get your sight picture and POI set up it’s a great training tool. Can view your movements to target, reaction time and where your shot placement was.
