Shooting a hunting rifle doesn't have to be over complicated like some of yutube video and internet guys would have you believe.
Every gun he has is braked and that is an absolute no for many ,Myself included.
Following through on the shot is pretty easy with a braked rifle but it can be done un braked as well as long as a person practices their form properly IMO.

I don't practise for hunting from the bench, either, I practise from the positions I will be using in the field which generally don't include a block house style set up
I saw the impact on the white tail I shot the other day at 218 yards ( lasered before the shot) with a lighter weight 308 Winchester for example, and although I could not tell exactly where I hit, it was where I was aiming and the deer reacted as such- didn't go 20.
At 400 yards it would have been even easier to see the actual impact because of the time of flight.
Recoil management for me begins with a rifle I can accurately shoot.
20 rounds from my 308 match rifle prone is enough that I welcome a break between relays , on a lightweight stalking style rifle a 280 shooting a 140 grain bullet is fine, as is my son's 6.5 STW.
That is a bit heavier than the average walking around stalking rifle however .
