What kind of idiot goes out hunting with one bullet? I'm guessing it was the same guy who reccomended the 24x scope for the 30-06. Might only take one shot, but at least take a few spares just-in-case. It would definately be a sight to see watching one of these "sniper-hunters" finish off their wounded deer with their swiss army knife.

Why do I even bother responding to these posts?
Reading and responding to this post are minutues of my life I'll never get back.
 
Too much scope my man. Chances are you'd be totally fine with a 3-9; if you want a little more magnification, a 4-12. You're not talking about shooting 1000M or anything here...
