What's everyone's thoughts on the SIG Pro 2022? I just purchased one and am trying to pass the time until it can be sent out. I feel like I'm waiting for my next fix!!
 
At The Shooting Edge there is a SigPro SP2022 in 9mm and it has been a range gun for about two months now. That thing gets worked like a rented mule and so far has been really good. I have not had any trouble with stoppages when I have overseen guests using it and its pretty damn comfy in the hand. Since the majority of guests are beginners there really isn't much I can say about accuracy besides, if Sig did thier job, the gun should be plenty accurate.

I looked at them and liked what I saw. Ended up with a Glock 34 instead. But I suspect these will be another fine sig product.
 
Well, I've had some time to play and absolutely love it!! Feels great, awsome accuracy and best of all Sig screwed up and sold me 8 brand new mags for 12dollars each!!!
 
My personal view is that it's the best plastic-framed pistol. If I was running a police dept., I would definitely buy them. They're basically indestructible as far as I can tell.

However, for target shooting the P226 (and many other pistols) are better. I've heard a lot of people say they think the SIG Pro is better.

The reason for this I'm convinced is that the SIG Pros are made in Germany and the P226s sold here are made in the US (mostly), and the trigger pulls are hopeless on US-made P226s.

However you can tune a P226 into a very nice target pistol more easily than a SIG Pro.
 
I 've read a lot of treads about the 2022 and almost 100% positive. I went to the store and handle it, a little too big for my XS hand. It is a very well build gun and to be true it may the best plastic gun out there. I cannot see anybody will go wrong with this gun.

The SP2022 is a better pistol than the Glock. Much better made (just compare the breechface), doesn't break (Glocks crack through the serial numbers under the ejection port). Sights on the SIG Pro are made of metal, rather than plastic, so your gun doesn't shoot progressively higher as you wear out the front sight on your holster.

The SP2022 has an interchangeable grip, more positive mag release and imv a better trigger pull, I can't stand the spongy striker mechanism on the Glock 17.

Oh and the SIG Pro is slightly more accurate as it's got tighter tolerances in it.

The only advantage the Glock has is that it's cheaper and holds a couple more rounds, which doesn't matter in Canada.

I read on this forum that Sigs', like most guns, needs a bit of oil to work good whereas Glocks have been torture tested firing round after round dry. So that could be another advantage.
 
I don't overly lube my 2022, the only thing i make sure "has" lube is the slide rails. I don't have to lube it so it works, just do it to avoid fast wear and tear.

I really like my Sig Pro... I have also kicked around the idea of getting another.
