Norinco M4

I got to see one of the prototype M4 in Vancouver, Not too bad at all! Being a prototype, the finish is not finalized, but if the one they said (very BLK) is the one comming, I would NOT hessitate to get one.

If they can get the price right, they will sell ALOT! Even now i know of lots of guys at the clubs who want an AR but dont want to drop $1200-1500 on an Armalite or Bushmaster :D:D

As for any other info I know... Its a secret till the retail ones arrive :D:D

m4

The price on ARs is low enough now that they are affordable - US made ones. For me to consider buying a Norinco.. it needs to be < 1/2....

the cq311 is an issue select fire gun in Iran and has been refined, they had us m16 rifles. The m14s rifles had a lot of input from usa importers before the restrictions were imposed by the state department. It wouldn't take much to do the same thing.

Pics, also found some info on wikipedia.

CQ 5.56mm Type A assault carbine

This variant introduced in the year 2006 in several Defense expos worldwide, including the MILIPOL, is a copy of the American M4A1 assault carbine.[6] It features a telescoping stock, a removable carrying handle mounted on a Picatinny rail, and a 368,3 millimetres (14,5 inches) barrel. The CQ Type A carbine variant is claimed to be able to stabilize both M193 "Ball" and SS-109/M-885 variants of the 5.56 mm cartridge, as would be expected from a rifle with a 1:9 barrel rifling twist. It will quickly accept the installation of grenade launchers due to the quick attachment/detachment handguard design and to the step-cut barrel.

I think if the price is right and they have imperial thresads, so you can use all the american accessories they will sell tons. I would get one.

They also use hammer forged barrels.
That's surprising..

LMAO! Pic just in from Norinco's new M4 barrel manufacturing line!
Real hammer forging!

This is good news. I don't care if its restricted, an M4 for 500$ in or around that price range is just toooo gooood of a deal to pass up. Lack of potential buyers because its restricted IMO is not an accurate statement.

If the price is right, that retailer will have done a great thing for our community and will help a new, larger generation of black rifle shooters thumb their noses at the Libs.
