Have an aluminum trigger guard from Remington 870 that I would like plated with a brushed nickel finish. Painting is def. out of the question. Any idea who would do such work?

if it is still painted black you could strip it and jewel it or have it done in KG-GUNKOTE brushed stainless, is a colour they offer.

www.caswellcanada.ca -he is located in Port Perry Ontario, He has a great inventory of plating supplies to plate anything front steel -aluminum- plastic you name it. He is only a supplier , they do not provide a plating service. I have bought a fair bit from him over the years

actually aluminum does not dissolve in the process if not zincatated, the problem is as soon as its degreased and pulled out of the hot tank it starts to tarnish immediately and thus the nickel will not bond. Also copper plating can be used as a strike coat to nickel plate onto. However I can say with a great deal of certainty once aluminum is plated chemical stripping is out of the question - The aluminum dissolves like alkaseltzer and all you have is a chome carcass left over, you must reverse plate alloys to remove plating.

what your talking about is electrless nickle plating.
we had a bunch of our remington 870 single point sling plates done this way to match the 870 marine magnum.
