H&K P7 PSP Hard Chrome????

OK, I am going to get a hold of Roger Kotanko @ Dark International and get the ball rolling. Their shop is close enough for me to drive to, so I should be able to have a look around. Here is what I'm thinking of having done.

* Hard chroming on the frame and Magazine.
* Bluing, deluxe finish - high polish on the slide and trigger.
* Set of burl walnut grips

Any comments???
Personally, I don't think that the P7 would look good in two-tone. I'd go for a full chrome job (except for the trigger) if I were you.

Here's my Valtro done by Rodger Kotanko. I was thinking it might take a bit of time to break in and I might have a few malfunctions but I haven't had one malfunction since I got it back from him.

Looking forward to seeing the pics...if all goes well I may be a few months behind you in getting my PSP done.

Are you going the full hard chrome or two-tone look? Thinking about what capp325 said I think he may be right about it looking not right because of the small size of the P7's.....

I think I'd do the entire gun over two tone...but if you think you might like it two toned then go for it!
You can always do the slide latter...

Still considering the two tone. It just seems to make a pistol look more interesting. At any rate, if it is two tone the slide will be blued and the frame will be hard chromed. Never did like the lighter colour on top. When I'm at Rodger's shop I will have a look at some samples and make the decision then.
My Raptor looks like this... http://www.weekendhobby.com/gun/webboard/picture\67254905751.jpg

Made the 5 hour round trip yesterday and dropped off 2 pistols for hard chrome, a H&K P7 PSP and a Sig P210. I decided to go with a full chrome job with polished flats on the slides. The P7 will have a black trigger and the P210 will have a blued hammer and trigger. Both will have Blued sights.
I must say that, after seeing several examples of Rodger's work, I am totally impressed with the quality of workmanship that comes out of this shop.
Before and after pictures to come....(around the end of July)

I've e-mailed Rodger and told him to expect my PSP around mid-August to early September (PSP will soon mean pimped small pistol :p). I will be getting a set of Nills grips for it as well....

It may be sooner once I see your pics......

It looks like hard chrome to me. Looks like the flat on the slide has been polished slightly.

Any plating takes on the surface characteristics of the base metal, so you can have matte or glossy surfaces in either nickel or hard chrome.

Nickel usually has a slightly warm or golden hue to it (unless cobalt chloride (or was it sulphate?) is added to the plating bath) while chrome is comparatively cool, or bluish in color.

Looks like hard chrome to me aswell. It looks just like Colt 1911 pistols I've seen in hard chrome on the 1911 forum.
