Black/green rifles to be prohibited soon???

Hi guys,
I do not own a black/green rifle or anything like that and I was not planning to buy one soon. That was until yesterday. A friend at the range told me military rifles were likely to become prohibited in a very near future. He was talking about a possible new law coming around September.... He also said that could bring another grandfather clause for this type of weapons. Have you heard anything like that? Should I buy an AR A.S.A.P.??? I don't want to miss my chance to get the clause. Tks for your help.

All guns will be prohibited soon. Enjoy them while you can.

BTW your friend needs to learn more about the current situation. This is a good place to start.
 
Just to be clear, I am not trying to spread that unverified probably false piece of news. I was just asking if anyone heard about it. I have to live without a 12-6, I want to grab everything I can....
 
The lieberals said in public caucus they will ban all semi autos and all handguns. Hopefully they will grandfather because they are cowards. Get every class of firearm possible -

But i heard september you can bring back you prohibited toys to the range.:D
So grab everything you can Buy.

I'd call it more a language barrier than a typo, but you are totally right. The guy, who told me that, used to run a gunstore. He's no legal expert, but he sure knows a lot about guns. The law in question would be called the Anastasia Law (it's related to the killing in Dawson college, but I don't know more about it) Anyway our ''beloved'' Charest promised to change things (what an easy way to get votes when you are unpopular...) I know most of my rights and obligations when it comes to firearms, but I still have one:
Charest cannot create a law that would only be for Qc? It's more like a federal decision, right?

BTW, Tyc, I'm not sure I get you, what do you mean?

Just buy whatever you can buy .shoot whatever you can shoot.Enjoy them while you can.

Well, it's only a matter of time. Nothing official, but one more liberal majority and it's a done deal. (Remember what they said they were going to do with handguns at the last election?)

If you've got the money get a handgun and a few semi-auto black rifles. Those will probably be the first to be grandfathered.
 
To clear things up for you:

Firearms are a Federal jurisdiction. As far as Provincial governments go, all they can do is be a thorn in the side of restricted gun owners by making it very difficult to keep ranges open through mostly zoning and by-laws (can't shoot restricteds anywhere else). If you own non-restricted firearms, there's very very little the provincial government can do to seize your freedoms.
 
so when the liberals get their next majority and ban semis and handguns, how many of us are going to stand up to them and say "#### you!, come and take them"?

Why in God's name do you people think there will be further grandfathering?

The next Liberal government will TAKE your guns away. That's their position. Stop the wishful "I'll buy one now and be safe" bull####.
