New Tactical Shotguns

COLTFAN;
Well now, I make every effort to reply as accurately as I possibly can....
Am I sensitive about unwarranted critiques, yes I am....
Will I defend my position, yes I will....
Am I proud of Marstar ? Damn right I am, with the support of thousand of loyal customers we have built a very successful mail order company.
With continued support and input from our customwers world wide we should continue to grow.
Our dedicated staff has worked hard and long to wararnt your trust and will continue to do so.
I also respect those who ask logical questions which I deem to be of general interest.
If I have offended your sensibilities in any way I apologize, even if you are not a customer....
John

CLAYBUSTER;
You are certainly entitled to your opinion....
And yes I am a very old man in this trade that has a habit of destroying people at young age.
Regards
John

SMOOTHBORE;
In general I can answer your question on a positive note, yes it feeds almost anything you feed it....
I say this with reserve, no it won't feed super light loads, it won't feed those short shells used in cowboy action shooting.
We have cycled thousands of rounds though them, from 1oz light loads up to 3" heavy magnum loads, no problems.
On the other hand I think you will agree that any SA shotgun tends to be a little bit fussy as to what you feed it, unlike a pump which will digest just about anything.
I hope I ahve answered your questions
John

Thank you John.
Appreciate the extra details.

I'm not opposed to the 870 at all, but do you really make your buying decisions based on which design is oldest?

CHEERS, Sir Evan...:D

Today's 870 ain't the same gun it was years ago. Just like the 2008 model year S&W 686 compared to a early/mid eighty's version. Or the 2007 Colt Gold Cup compared to a 1980's or early 1990's version. Just ask the Lever guys about pre and post 1964 Model 94's.

Design is one thing but production runs are a totally different ball game.

It's a $400 gun people. Why compare it to a $2000+ Benelli? Is a Ford Pinto just as good as a Rolls Royce? :confused:

The point being... be it the Ford or the Rolls, both work and both will get you where you want to go. The $400 Turkish or the multi-$ Benelli... they both work be it you don't get the snob/bragging factor with the Ford or the $400 Turkish.

These are gas operated, not inertia, yes?
I don't remember seeing that stated.
On the other hand, I may have overlooked it.

thanks to Johnone for his patience in this thread.

People, do not go into other peoples threads and make ####. it's just not nice.
I for one would love to see the fixed stock semi auto for an evaluation.

I was hoping for some reviews with all these post and instead I find garbage. Someone post pictures of the gun disasembled when they get it.

I really liked the look of your previous model, with a different top folding stock as well as a different forestock, i believe it was the previous model up before this one and now that i have my pal and im ready to buy i can't find it anywhere on the site, is it still on the market? do you have a link where i could find previous models from marstar?
