Cabelas now owns SIR (the old Sydney I Robinson firm). So no trouble, just order through SIR in Winnipeg.
And what is not exactly the same thing?...Cabellas owns SIR but SIR retained the mailorder dept.....Anything you want from Cabelas is shipped thru SIR. Thier store here is carrying the same stuff I seen in the State's stores.
Cabelas, Stateside, won't ship reloading equipment to Canada. U.S. retailers require a licence to be an exporter. Don't think Cabela's has it. It's not the same as the U.S. export permit. Components require the export permit.
In any case, there's very little available Stateside that you can't get here with less fuss.
store here is only about 1/10 of the size of the stores down south. They cannot stock it all until they build a huge store. Give it a chance....they will take care of that matter.
i was wondering has anyone had any trouble ordering reloading equipment from cabelas.
thanks drae
cabelas wouldnt ship my rcbs rock chucker supreme kit across the boarder, they would ship a lee kit though?!!?

You can order press and dies from Cabela's without any problem - they are "tools" (I order these in january 2008 without any fuss).
They will not ship brass or bullet though, as they can be used in a firearm.
You will have to pay GST and custom fees, as well as broker's fees (they include these in your order, no bad surprise).
when you order from cabellas, firmly indicate that you want the item shipped usps (united states postal service) rather than ups as usps doesn't charge the extra $50 brokerage fees. i've been screwed twice by ups, who can go f#@k themselves, and now go only with usps,
