I picked up a Sako Quad a week or so back and put a Leupold 4-12x40AO on it with some garbage rings. The rings will be getting changed this week. I took it out a few days ago and tried running some different types of ammo through it but it was a crappy day with 40-60km wind and I wasn't impressed. I took it out yesterday and it was a little better. Today I went out with the idea that maybe I just needed a brick or so through the gun before it starts to shoot well. I was using American Eagle with the intent of putting a bunch through it. I don't know if it's me getting used to the gun and scope or if it's getting broken in, but it seems like it will be a decent rifle accuracy wise. I still need to play with the torque on the action screws and to get a decent rear bag so I can maintain some type of consistency shot to shot. Ammo choice is limited here, so I doubt I'll see the true potential of this thing for a while. I probably should have gone with a higher power scope for paper. The trigger is about 2 pounds and the shots were 51 yards as per my range finder.
