For all the owners:

Are these shotguns 5 in the mag one in the chamber?

Can you load and fire though the ejection port with/with out a magazine inserted?

Any word on larger mags for the 3 Gun guys to capitalize on (within the rules)?

$20.oo Optional Front Grip

Optional Front Grip, did i say; i love this gun...

1) Yes, you can load one in the chamber, 5 in the mag.

2) You can load and fire from the ejection port; however, with the mag in, the round must be loaded into the mag, depressing the follower (it holds the action open, after the last round), a stone cold b**ch (I'm still workin' on the drill, and missing a lot of skin so far...); much easier to drop the mag, tilt the gun so the port and magwell are in the horizontal 2 o' clock position, drop a round into the ejection port, close the action. Makes changing your load in mid mag a challenge...

3) I certainly hope Chris can be convinced to have his suppliers fab 7 round mags; with the 7 rounds, size will be no greater than a 30 round VZ mag...picture comparison to follow...

The pic...
Note that the 'bump' in the base plate would increase O/A lenght of the mag, but 7 rounds in the mag would still be worth the addtional mag lenght, IMNSHO...

What I have found with my mag when I cut down the follower to allow a 6th round is that the spring tends to get a bit bound up (still working on it to improve the function) I would think that that much longer would need more length then that of two shells. I think you would need an other 1/2" or even more to accommodate the spring. I would hope for something like the sidwinder drum mag, 10 round yet compact.

Given the 'problems' associated with the Knoxx Industries Sidewinder, that led the company to discontinue there production (before I could acquire one....:( ), I think you are pushing the extremes of the manufacturing/design base CanAm is dealing with...
I'd rather have a 7 round mag that works, as opposed to a drum that doesn't...

Yes you are correct.

I did not mean for them to make them, I just would like something like the sidewinder .

Any one know where you can buy mag springs? I have been thinking of a few mag Ideas but need a spring source

7 is possible. The factory is not so keen, but we'll see.

Package the 18 inch ghost ring model with choke tubes and four 7 round mags, and watch the IPSC 3-Gun shooters snap them up.

Offer a spare 12.5 inch barrel with choke tubes with that packages, and you'll need extra help carrying boxes to the post office.

That would be great, Chris.
The 5 'works' for the 12.5 or less; I can vouch for the pain of combat reloads with the tube 12.5; mags would have been nice, but I wouldn't have learned as much as I did over the 2 day Tac Response course....

7 round mags, on barrel lengths 18" or less, would be the combat shotgunners dream...

Note to the Mag owners.... you should have a right side 4 round side saddle, for those 'combat drops' into the receiver, at least until we can get more mags....
