I have both a T-3 and a couple of 700s. I think the Tikka is a better (at least with a comparable model 700) right out of the box. They have good triggers that can be easily adjusted, slick actions, and possibly better accuracy (without tweaking). I like the looks of the 700 better, and as already mentioned there a far more after market goodies available for the Remington.
There's no doubt that 700s are accurate, but for mine I needed to adjust the trigger on both from the lawyer proof way they come from the factory, and I also bedded one of them to help it shoot better. I like both, it's just that my 700s needed a little more work to shoot as well as the Tikka did right out of the box. Your mileage may differ...
