Hmmm....

must be summer...

Not much new around here....not since "build Yer Own STEN" threads

So...how about a 'take it apart' thread for stuff not commonly seen???

Vote above and I will do a photo/blurb on how things come apart

WUT SAY?

As long as that bit about "detailed pics of all taken apart and naked" refers strictly to the guns. Summers not that boring.

I voted for the mg34 although I already know how to fieldstrip it etc, but I do enjoy your gun ####. How about showing us how your mp44 and mp42(b) strips down?

The historian and Canadian in me wants to see the Bren.

The infantryman in me wants to see the MP-5....

So I had to go with the black stuff.

P.S.: I hate you, Klunk. :D

Ho-hum. MG34 stripping is BO-RING. Of course, it doesn't help that I have field stripped MG34's probably dozens of times, and detail stripped them several times as well.

Now a ZB, on the other hand, would be COOL to see. The amount of machining on those guns is just AWESOME. The heat shield and receiver are milled out of one huge piece of steel. I'd LOVE to see that gun stripped up close.

An MG34 is "just another one of those..."

Well really if you are that bored, why not do them all??? What's the point of owning such amazing firearms if you can't brag about them.

Klunk,

Part of my interest in the Bren is that I'm "interested" in the possibility of adapting another firearm into a Bren size/shape platform.

The ZB would be delightful to see torn down, my lack of knowledge about it's manufacturing history is reflected there....mind you, I seem to recall someone mentioning that there's somewhere around 259 seperate milling operations to manufacture a BREN receiver too...
