remington or sako

Sendero SF is a heavy gun, probably will shoot excellent, but scoped it'll be 10 lbs or more

the Sako 85 SS will be much more portable, and just as accurate. It'd be my choice between the two

I've owned Remingtons and Sakos.

I kept the Sakos. As for the MOA promise of the Model 75 both of mine will do much better.

Fired Sako 85 ss syn,Rem 700Bdl, Win Mod 70 Classic all are great weapons but out of the box, and if your pocket book can afford it SAKO all the way!!

Another vote for Sako here. There was a guy selling a Sako m75 SS in 7mmRM in the Exchange forum earlier. Had knocked the price down. Might be a good buy if you want a Sako. I personally prefer the m75 over the m85 for the stock design.

That's like asking "Should I buy a Chevy Aveo, or the Acura NSX". They'll both get you around town, but the Acura is most certainly a much nicer ride.

Sako all the way, IMHO (between those two choices, anyway). :)

This dealer doesn't have them yet. Until they're in hand its speculation that they'll be here in August. We're talking Stoeger here...

For $1200 I'd skip the A7 and get the real deal.

Im not saying I would buy a A7, the guy asked, and I pointed him in the right direction. My guess is Prophet River will have them in way before Stoeger distributes them in Canada.

I knew better than that.:D

I haven't handled one, but I get the impression they will feel more like the Tikka than the 75 or 85. For a gun that feels like a Tikka and shoots like a Tikka, why not buy the Tikka, and save $600.

I think other dealers will be selling the A7 for under $1000 when Stoeger gets them here.

A7

I was down in montana a couple of months ago and handled one of the A7's
light gun not a fan of the stock feels hollow. seems rigid enough though. still has plastic bolt shroud and plastic clip not that I thnk that is bad (each to their own) bolt was sako slick or tikka slick. I think it was a 3 lug bolt as aposed to the 2 lug of the tikka. The biggest bennifit to the A7 over the tikka in my oppionion is for the short action rifles, it comes in a true short action for a lighter gun. I do not know if I am sold on it but I think It would be nice in a 270 wsm.
