Q: Considering this monster thread, what do you think of the VZ-58 type rifle?

  • It is a beauty as it comes, and a must have, since it drives Libs bonkers.

They are underway. I'm pretty sure design is finalized and prototypes are being made. There will be a few week delay between prototype completion and production starting, as the stamp for marking ranges will have to be made to fit the prototypes.

What I like about it is essentially you get a belt fed Bren or sorts. Someone will probably note how the Bren was a Czech design originally, but modified. I think this will best represent what you can expect. It has the same gray paint finish, good blueing and nice wood.

Accessories you can get are 250 round ammo cans and 50 round detachable boxes, armorers kits. I would expect johnone will have belt loaders and x54R ammo as well. While I need to look into it, there might exist a replacement feed cover that takes top fitted box magazines.

I think the 25 rd box mag was used with the LMG 52/57 in 7.62x39


Is the issue belt of pre 45 design ( ie for SG43)?
 
Talking of VZ and FAB defence
we are now a dealer for FAB defence
Our 1st shipment is at customs and will clear before then end of Aug 08
On the 1st shipment we have.

striped ar15 carbine butt stock in black.
we plan to have the best prices on the market if things go well, dealer and bulk prices can be had.
we will allso be stocking many more ofthe FAB items in the fall.

I can't imagine how frustrating is it when you literally spend YEARS of your time promoting a rifle and help produce 384 pages of posts on the subject, only to have someone ask a question that is probably explained on the first page?
