Whenever there is an issue with my knife order my Russian (Vlad ,really) makes it up in some way. I try to pass it on to my customers especially if I promised them something I could not deliver or was late.

I'm skeptical we will be getting any free ammo, but I won't be complaining if we do.

It would be nice if either the supplier or Cabela's/S.I.R. threw some in to sweeten the deal.:)

Like I said earlier, I ordered four rifles, so if they toss in 200 rounds per rifle I'd have 800 rounds free.

If they are doing that, and paying the extra cost of the shipping, I'll be one happy camper!

I used to have a Viet Nam bring back, that I traded years ago.

I seem to recall it being a 1950, but I am probably wrong.

I don't recall the firing pin being spring-loaded when I disassembled it for cleaning.

russian SKS45 from 1949 to part 51 came with firing pin spring .

Sorry Guys , but I know Ernie the store manager(cabela's/sir) , I was in there today and asked him about this 200 rounds of ammo with each rifle , and it is NOT true ! They honestly have no idea when they will actually be in , they keep getting told different dates , and that is it folks, straight from the manager :)

You know... if they'd just put "No ETA", or just "No f**king clue" on their websites, they'd probably have less trouble with people phoning in to ask when everyone is getting their SKSs.

I can't even find them on the website anymore, I punch SKS into the search engine and nothing comes up.

Criminy, the only reason we know they are even coming is because we were made aware of the fact months ago and ordered then.

Those that ordered early, can sit back with content knowing they will be the first served. Those that hesitated, or that came to the show late, will have to take a chill pill and wait for the second shipment. In the meantime, they will be able to evaluate the specimens that will no doubt be proudly displayed here.

Those that are entering the fray now, can only hope that some disillusioned or impatient souls will cancel, and the excess will be deferred to them.

Really, I've got too many other things to think about than to worry about when a shipment of used and refurbished milsurp rifles is going to arrive.

I might be getting excited if the gun laws had been relaxed, and it was a shipment of brand new AK-47's heading our way for sale without restrictions (and containers of 7.62x39mm at cutthroat prices.)

Maybe then I would be wagging my tail and panting excitedly!

Why can't we just have Kalashnikovs here? Personally I think they're one of the ###iest looking rifles out there... they look so good with an Armani suit.
