Being old does not make a rifle function any better.They were made with sloppy tolerances so that they would function in dirty wartime conditions,and as a result,many are not very accurate.
Only because so more of them were used than any other cartridge because they were so cheap to buy as surplus rifles.For the same reason,more moose were probably wounded and lost by the 303 british than any other cartridge.

Who the hell ever stated that I cant afford a better rifle? There are actually LE that are probably worth more then anything you own.
Maybe you just got a dud. But the Enfields I have owned produced me some pretty decent groups for an old gal.
They are old rifles .. it's like comparing a model T to a BMW... get a life

Actually. I just purchased a coupled of new pairs of eye glasses. I paid more money for those two pairs than you would ever pay for one of those pieces of junk "should be melted down in a furnace and turned into a Volkswagen" pieces of junk Lee Enfields" .... and a worthy scope.

Actually, I paid $285.00 for my Stevens. She shoots 1/2" at 300 yds. But then again you just might call me on that. No BS, it's true....your .303 won't come close. No worries buddy, I still think that you should melt down your barrel and turn it into a Nissan and use your stock for firewood, 'cause your .303 wouldn't even make a good paddle on the boat.
