I bought it in 1988 with my ruger 10/22 which i still shoot. One of the buckles is broken though.

Hehehe, blinded by science.Dude... Klunk made a perfectly good joke based on embellishment. You just killed it with science.

Bingo, Paulinski wins the prize (only it's not my AR)! I didn't have the heart to tell the guy, he was having so much fun shooting it. He was wearing lvl2A body armour too...![]()

Who's bashing on assumption here buddy? As Far as him noticing something's not right as soon as he flipped the cap, I already said I watched him shooting it.Meh! Did you ask the guy why his scope was on backwards?
No offense BC Guy, but I gotta say, how do you know he wasn't in a hurry to go and mistakenly put the optic on backwards in a hurry. For someone who owns an AR, I'm pretty sure he would have noticed something's not right as soon as he went to flip up the lens cap.
It's kinda bordering on bashing on assumption alone.
The charging handle being open, well maybe that's the guy's way of knowing the action is locked open... or maybe he didn't give a s**te either way.
... that looks like a Stag lower. I think I see horns there somewhere,or maybe I got Stag on my mind as I just bought one. He has a good sense for quality guns anyway.
