Outback

Now if they would only have that Outback with fully rifled barrels for using the "new" sabot ammunition :runaway:. Bought one of these anyway, on its way from Ellwood Epps as we speak.

getting parts is a #####.
I have a Franchi that i have not been able to get a fore end for(wood split)
Going on 2.5 years now....never again

I looked for one 8 months ago, with no luck (limited supply).

There was a Subaru dealership in one of the Southern States giving them away with the purchase of a new Subaru Outback. I would imagine that eat up most of the stock

I ordered one this morning.

I showed a picture of it to my wife last night. She said "That's cute, do you want one?"
Um......yes!
She told me to order one this morning and handed me her credit card. Anniversary present.

Elwood Epps is great! I called and ordered the nickel/black one in 20 ga this morning. I forgot to give the name on the credit card, and when I called back 2 hours later, I was told that the purchase went through with no problems and the gun had already been shipped.
Now that's fast service. I can see that I will be dealing with this company some more. This was my first purchase from them.

You got a COOL wife, congrat's

oh damn, that nickle/black walnut finish is mighty nice. And Epps has 'em for under $500. Why do I suddenly feel the visa getting warm?

It will be your first of many purchases from them ;) I deal a lot with Ellwood Epps, they are out in Ontario and I am here in Alberta. The shipping costs are not a factor when you can get the stuff you want. In the Edmonton area (if your a shotgun slug hunter), it is near impossible to get the latest slugs, shotguns etc...
I was surprised when P&D did have the scope mounts for my Browning A Bolt shotgun though. I was so happy I bought two scopes and some rings. They run a great place there, but didn't have one ballistic tip sabot there. This does surprise me that all these stores have no stock of newest slugs and such and they are surrounded by WMU 248 (shotgun, crossbow muzzleloader only zone) Wholesale Sports had nothing as usual. I ramble though.

Congrats on your Outback !! hopefully mine will be here shortly.

How are the sights? Do you find that they get in the way of shooting shots?

I don't quite get what you are asking? In the way of shooting shots?

If you lean the shotgun up against the bar, it doesn't get in the way of shooting shots (Like Jack Daniels, Tequila etc etc....:D:D:D

Do you mean, do the sights obscure the target you are aiming at ??

Arch:)

I would think that to be focused on the sights is not to be focused on the target. Clear focus on sights is desirable for a stationary target where an accurate aimed shot may be needed, but for a moving or wing shot clear focus on the sights tells me that your focus is not where it should be.
