For Sporting guns I own Benelli and Beretta semis and also have a Timber HD M1 Benelli. Different designs but great guns.

I as well am voting for the Baikal since I have never even handled a Benneli.
Others swear by Beretta but I don't care for them.

For pleasure to shoot and reliability, the Beretta 390 followed by the 391. For ease of maintenance, any Benelli.

You are probably right. I know of a fellow who uses one for sporting clays. In the last two years of registered competition, he claims that he has never cleaned it.

Benelli M4. No doubt in my mind!

Benelli M4. This gun will do anything I ask it to, serve any purpose I need a shotgun for, be it hunting, bear defense, sport shooting or zombies. I have always been a 12 gauge nut and have had a couple of dozen over the years, but my Benelli will be the one I keep. I actually bought three shotguns after I had it -- didn't need them. (But one was my Dlask shorty so I am keeping it, I know I don't need it but I want it!) The other two will be finding new homes soon. My wife thought I was sick when I looked at a shotgun and actually said, "I have no use for that gun!" I was a bit worried myself, but I actually said it. And there it is.
