Magpul CTR stocks

I would just be worried that eventually Brownells get in deep sh*t and stops selling outside the US...

But what I really want to know is where are all the UBR's coming from??? Those are WELL over the $100...

:ninja:PM me I want one.

Brownells shouldn't get in trouble for shipping them sence they aren't a Reciever/Frame/Action barrel, trigger part or revolver cylinder, and they are under 100 dollars, so for now at least we are safe.

The UBR's are probably just imported with state department clearance (like what Questar does) and then sold with a higher cost.

P&D Enterprises sells the PRS stocks, and used to sell the M92? i think it was (the old adjustable super stock that Magpul made) and those were both well over 100 dollars also :)

I ordered my CTR a week or so ago, and am patiently waiting for it to come, so i can put it on my Specter Arms S54 :D

As seen at Brownells website. Pay particular attention to the "OR" in the sentence. I completely agree with you Raptor. I think a lot of people get confused and start presuming laws or they over hear conversations at gun shop counters which are not always accurate, then they tell everyone they know about some new law that passed, but it never did.

I was told that the new export ban applied to adjustable stocks of any kind, AND their parts, regardless of value???

Do any dealers know how this works? Because if these are exempt, I'll order two of them, a MOE stock, and some H buffers and buffer tubes!:dancingbanana:

Keep it quiet, don't bring it to dealers attention, or they will squash this to bring more business their way, just order it and keep it a secret :)

Well I'm not saying anything as it doesnt have anything to do with me. Plus I actually don't know for sure what the situation is.

But you do realize that they can read... :)

I got mine today and was surprised it came with a rubber but pad even though its a mil spec version . So im very happy !!

I'm not happy.. cause I bought the but pad for $20usd. which means I just wasted 30cnd after exchange and duty... brownells site clearly says it doesn't come with one. I just checked the magpul site, which says it does come with one... I should have looked at their site first I guess.

I'm also concerned about finding a mill tube for it now. I probably should have bought the commercial one. as the fab defence stuff is commercial. I don't know what the questar tubes are.

so. A. anyone want to buy a CTR butpad? and B. who's got a mill spec buffer tube, buffer, spring, castle nut, and end plate to sell me? :D

when people find that something falls through the cracks in their favor, why don't they just STFU and let it be? why do people have to jump up and down and cry no fair?

Next thing you know they're on the phone with U.S exports questioning why so and so is shipping so and so's.

And for the record I couldn't deal with a CTR. So I got two :)

:)To be clear, I don't really care about it all that much; I was the jerk who bought the very last milspec CTR's from Tacshot, so I've already got mine. :D

I was just wondering if I have been mis-informed about the changes...

I did the same thing when i bought some powermags , it didnt specify it came with 2 sets of bases so i bought extra ones !!!! They might be doing it on purôse to push sales !

Just an update, i got my CTR in a couple days ago :D

8 days from the "item shipped" email to my door! :D

However i didn't know they did not come with a buffer tube, so now i need to get an extra Commercial buffer tube :p

Spose i'll be makin' a trip to P&D Enterprises Tomorrow :D

You'll need more than just a buffer tube, do you need the mil-spec or the commercial version tube(based on your CTR model),as well as a action spring, castle nut, receiver end plate, buffer, and of course the buffer tube your heading out to get.

Question for all CTR owners, on the stock is a small black hole, this hole is meant to hold a QD sling swivel, I found a pic online, apparently they are difficult to find. Anyone have one? And where did you get it?

I picked up a couple from One Shot a few weeks ago. They seem to have plenty available.

Its not going on an AR, it'll be going on my SPecter Arms S54 (which is a ruger 10/22 stock adaptor. You can dig up the thread in the rimfire forum if you want).

It does need to be a commercial stock, but i called P&D, and they said they didn't carry "just" the buffer tubes, so i put in an order at Brownells, so i have to wait another 8 or 9 days to get it :(

Its a Commercial Spec 6-position DPMS buffer tube (for my commercial CTR)

:D

Thought I'd update but my second CTR order is being held somewheres :(

Likely by Canada customs. Every order I've placed from Brownells over the last two years has been held, opened & inspected by CBSA. Hopefully its on our end, not the US end

I say that because I bit the bullet and ordered one. It shipped Nov 21st.
