Holy krap, you say this like you got a deal or something.
I agree with "kokanee king" If they ship anything other than USPS they do not get my money.
No NOT a deal at all, as that did not include my brokering or gst paid out.
The reason I went direct was that I NEEDED it NOW and I wanted a lot of spare parts and pieces.
If I could have found everything I wanted in Canada, and had the time to call around, I certainly would have gone with a dealer here. In fact I think I may have saved some money if a Canadian dealer had what I needed.
Sometimes in business it is cheaper to pay full retail and air freight up what is needed , than spending time to find the best deal.
Looking at the air way bill, I actually recieved my box of Dillon 17 hours from when I hung up the phone from them. Time to me is MONEY.
UPS (the brown guys) are brown for a reason, their service and brokering capabilities are CRAP!!
USPS would have been less expensive for me , AND if you keep the Canadian value under 1600.00 Canada Post does the brokerage for $8.00
I guess the question is how much hassle do you want to incur?
If a Canadian dealer has what you want, I see no reason NOT to go the easy route and order from him. It is not like Dillon is going to cut you a deal. I got to pay full retail pricing despite being a dealer myself, Dillon protects their established dealers, I respect that.
