i wonder if you can get a 220 with beavertail ? id like that 220 sa with beavertail
This is awesome news!! Thanks for pointing it out Ghostie, and thanks Quester for being on top of it!!!
Question is; when you order say a 229 in 22lr, is the centerfire conversion kit registered?? You then have one frame and two slide/barrels with two reggies?
I hope that's not the case...
I'd sell both my Mosquito and P22 for a 229 in 22lr![]()
But this whole thing doesn't work the other way, does it? I have a gorgeous SIG P220 and would love to convert it to .22 now and then but there is no top end i can buy to make this happen, is there?
... I've had nothing but problems with it. I've lost track how many FTL's I've had. The shells constantly jam and will not load. Another problem is that the recoil spring is too weak to push the slide forward. The slide sticks at the back without "heavy" lube.
I bought the .22LR Conversion Kit and I've had nothing but problems with it. I've lost track how many FTL's I've had. The shells constantly jam and will not load. Another problem is that the recoil spring is too weak to push the slide forward. The slide sticks at the back without "heavy" lube.
I've never been so disappointed by a purchase before. I would advise NOT to buy this kit until Wolff (www.gunsprings.com) starts making spring kits for these conversion kits. I'm sorry I bought mine. I could of bought a decent, entire handgun for what I paid for my kit.![]()
I've tried over a dozen types of ammunition. When it loads any shell properly, there is no problem with cycling the slide to the rearmost position and ejecting the spent brass. The problem is that the spring isn't strong enough to pick up a new shell and move it into the chamber. This is the point where it usually jams. If I really "lube" the slide up everywhere, it will work for awhile, but it is really messy. I'm certain a stronger spring would solve my problem, but none are available.
If anyone wants this conversion kit, and think they can get it to work, you can have it for half what I paid for it. $250.00 with 2 magazines and SIG Blue Case.
Any more info on these?
Just waiting for the CFO to approve the transfer for my shiny new 226 40/22 Cant wait!!
Supposed to be a few more months before the centre fire top ends get here though.
SA/DA or SAO?
Traditional DA/SA.
