If you had it set at the height for irons would it interfere with left handed shooting?

i just held the rifle into my left shoulder, then folded it and if the stock is folded to the third position of 6, then my pistol grip hand is clear of the stock, and flipping the mag release and mag changing are no different than normal, actually much easier than right handed use.

i assume when you ask about height for irons, you want know if the stock is too high to align with them?

as it is now, when comparing the original stock over top of the ar stock, the ar stock is about a half inch higher comb than the original.
i will take a pic of the ar stock right now, and set it to the lowest position the adapter will allow, but i can't align it with the rear leaf as its removed and a pain in the arse to remove again.

It does look nice and clean. I really can't see ever using it folded except for storage. But it deffinately has the LCF.

supra, the length from receiver to rubber butt pad when closed is 9.75", and 13.5" fully opened with the 6 position stock.
also note i am 6'6" with gangly long arms and i find it most comfortable with the 1st or 2nd click of the stock, so about 11.25" of stock length.

i just moved the stock adapter plate to its lowest position, and when compared next to a factory wood stock, the ar stock is about a 1/4" lower comb.(the ar stock is behind the factory)

for the lefties, when configured for the lowest position and folded, the buffer tube does block comfortable finger access to the trigger as seen in this pic.

I will try to finish this stock within two weeks. I am actually encorporating Tabuk features in my 'drago.' My stock is a combination of three designs...you will see.

Well, I encourage you to do that project
and I wish you all the luck and power to do the work,
the same as I did when you went after the Romanian pistol grip
(which, BTW, you did in a hurry
and only because I started to bug you after few months of nothing).
But for me, the Rom pistol grip happened to push a special button
as it is the best pistol grip I found.

IIRC the only thing different betweem the 6pos and 4pos is where the holes are drilled in the buffer tube. Actually the only difference is the buffer tube. How would the cheek riser be effected by this?

1. New stock. Half done already. When I make things it is from scratch. It does take some thinking.
2. Shell deflector - need rifle to measure and create. It isn't that hard to imagine.
3. Ambi mag-release. See above.
4. See above.
5. VZ-RPK. Drew out the buttstock, but it would be nice to own a 58L to complete that one. Ask John for me.

The older design 4 pos. look different and are somewhat thinner.

I think all folders will interfere with a drum , even the factory folder.
I can't imagine anyone would shoot with the stock folded anyway.

I think you should design a top feed-bottom eject version of the 58. Big old round drum on top with anti-aircraft sights, once you finish the draganov stock.
