At the local range here that "loans" you a gun when you buy their ammo I've had a few friends join me and it has become a short but fun tradition to finish the night with a Big Bang. The Big Bang of choice being a round per person of the S&W .460 shot out of the big S&W hand cannon revolver. And this puppy never fails to impress. Everyone that has shot it has craved blood rare red meat for dinner at the pub following the session...
There's certainly no way I'd want to make such a beast a regular shooter but I can't help thinking that it would be fun to have such a howitzer in the collection just to finish up the odd day with a round or two just to stir up the soul.
Is this some sort of inner defect of my soul or are there others out there that feel the same way? If so what are you using for your Big Bang tour de force?
Keep in mind this has nothing whatever to do with "stopping power", deadly target accuracy or any of the usual shooter's goals. I'm talking about the "Big Show" that simultaniously makes your palms sweat as you prep yourself, humbles you when it fires but yet makes you giggle like a schoolgirl inside where no one can see when it's all over.
