Well, whitetail deer season opens in Manitoba on Monday and I'm going Russian this year. Taking my 1952 Polish M44 and my 1935 91/30. I know that quite a few of us milsurp collectors hunt.
I have taken deer with a M38 Swede, a 1935 Peruvian, M48A Yugo, SKS, K98 and of course a Lee Enfield. Am I the only one who thinks Lee Enfields should be mandatory in Canada?
The M44 has taken a black bear, and the M96 swede took out a wild boar.
If I can work up a good load and shoot well next year I am thinking of taking out the Berthiers. The carbine would make a hell of a good bush gun. Also want to shoot something with one of the carcano's.
What's everyone using this year?
