Magpul UBR

try brownells, there was a tread not too long ago with members who ordered some CTR stocks, if that made it here, so should the UBR.

the problem is the item has to be under $100 usd per item, which the ubr isn't:(
$265 USD to be exact.
i would call wolverine before you get your hopes up, they seem to be having the same problems with cross border shipping.

Very solid stock. A little on the heavy side. I found it just added too much weight to my carbine so I got rid of mine. I went with a Vltor EMOD. It's a bit longer but alot lighter.

Thats not the reason at all. The US of A has refused export permits for collapsing stocks among other things. Price has nothing to do with it. Use to be that if an item was under a certain amount you didn't need an export permit (depending on the item). Some stuff (firearm related) has always required proper export papers.

See previous thread about the CTR. Brownells is still shipping CTRs to Canada, apparently unaware of the requirement for export permits for collapsible stocks that everyone here seems to rave about. So he's right, in theory... If the UBR was under 100$ you could get one from Brownells.

I ordered my EMOD kit complete from Brownells and it arrived in a week with no duty required. The value was well over $100 USD, of course it wasn't marked as such. The worst case is that the shipment gets seized.

thats exactly what i thought too, so i called brownells directly on thursday and specified i was canadian and wanted to order a ctr and butt pad, but the lady on the phone said it was a no go as the total was over $100.00 USD.
but the ctr was out of stock anyways, so i ordered an moe and they said no problem.
i wonder if the ctr and moe get around the law because they don't include the buffer tube and accesories, so technically that stock doesn't collapse as is:confused:

Either Brownells is unaware or they choose to ignore the US DOS mandate. Whatever the case thats good news for us up here in Canada. You said you called, but have you tried ordering online???

I show the CTR buttstock at under $80 for both commercial and milspec, and the buttpad is $15 so that is still under $100 ;)

at brownells...

weird, i just went to their website, and it tells me that the ctr is $97.00 USD, and the buttpad is another $20.00, maybe mines listed in canadian dollars, eh.
whoops perhaps i should read gooder first.

I have a dealer account with brownells so recieve a discount, back when I registered my account all I had to do is supply them with my buisness license and GST number..... it is a good discount :)

(even though my buisness has nothing to do with guns)
