It is not stolen technology. The patents expired on the Colt Goverment 1911 a long time ago. You can make one if you want to, and not pay royalities to anyone.

As for buying a better gun and getting accessories later.. well I have enough projects. Don't want to buy a gun and then not have a nice holster. I want a gun I like with all the accessories I want at a price I can afford. Right now I can afford 550 taxes included as well as shipping. I want a gun and a nice holster and an extra Mag and some snap caps. Norinco is the only option short of waiting.. and frankly i'm tired of waiting for "When I have the money" So there. I did it and I am SO happy I ordered the gun.
Now I need a holster and some Hogues. If anyone is selling used I don't mind used products if the price is right.

PS: I really have always wanted some specific pistols. 1911 Commander length, sig p228 and a .455 webley. Now since I can't legally get a real p228 because our government discriminates against people who were born too late... I got the only alternative: a Norc clone (which can be fitted with real sig parts if I get the money. For now I will have something shootable..cool
Now, what do I need to get to shine the gun finish.. some kind of wax? I heard it mentioned on a thread. Do I need anything to clean the gun before its first use? Any BASIC trigger upgrades I should consider? Should I shoot it double action with a snap cap repeatedly while watching tv or something in order to break in the trigger?

Don't worry, I highly doubt anyone will pay you...!
You should do more research, Colt actually made a deal with Norinco over the AR copy and gave Norinco original 1911 drawings so they would not produce exact copies of the AR. Got that right from Colt.
So lets stop buying everything then, becuase it is all on the street my friend, even Glocks, and I can tell you that more illegal Glocks are seized off the street then Norc's.
What makes you think that? There are lots of Norc owners here on CGN that have had them for a long time and are still very happy, I have had a few and they all worked very well.
Back to the post, you will like your new purchase, as for a holster, never rule out Kydex, I would suggest an Uncle Mikes Kydex paddle for $30, a few dealers here have them, I have been using one for IDPA for 3 years now, they work great.
Paddle holsters look cheap. They may also not last very long if in daily use. So what? In this country, unless you are in law enforcement, you will not be able to wear out even the cheapest holster.
I bought a top quality leather holster from Milt Sparks for my HK P7 PSP. I love it but had to wait six months and paid well over one hundred dollars for it. I also bought a cheap Uncle Mike's paddle holster off the rack at my local dealer and can report that it works fine and fits several different pistols.
When I bought a CZ75B (something I had been after for a long time) I searched high and low for a good holster. (I didn't feel like another six month wait.) I would have loved a Super Sherpa with the button release but they are made only for 1911s and Glocks, so I bought a Fobus. Big mistake -- the Fobus fits the CZ so tightly that, after I inserted the gun for the first time, I was almost unable to remove it. I ended up cutting away the area over the trigger guard -- now I have a functional holster that is too dangerous to carry a loaded gun in.
Webleys are inexpensive, readily available, tough as nails, and as reliable as hammers.
They are also astoundingly expensive to shoot. If you ever come across a Webley-Fosberry for sale, let me know. "Let's see now, a regular Mark VI is worth about $250 but this is an off-brand. How about $150?"
I agree, nothing racist, just don't think a gun is something one should cheap out on... Plus, a Colt will hold its resale way better than a Norc.

I had a Wild Bills holster for my 1911, the Classic Speed Scabbard, very nice holster, he does great work, but with the $$$ the way it is now, you will pay big time for it.
The nicest leather I have owned was Alessi, and he is just over the border in Buffalo on Grand Island Blvd. Great product, great price and a great guy to deal with.
Well I talked to the guy over at Wild Bills and for the paddle holster and a double mag carrier plus shipping the total is 120$ USD so about 150$ CAD. Maybe I will wait since I am looking at an uncle mike kydex holster and it's not expensive. Still.. I Really want a leather holster.. no matter how useless it may seem.
As for the Getting a better gun debate.. look: It's either I buy the np-34 and shoot it for the remainder of my university studies.. or I salivate at a nice real sig or real colt etc.. for the next for year while looking at them on the internet and saying "When I have the money..." It's THAT Simple. No I don't want a .22.. No I don't want to wait and get something nicer. I just want to shoot.
It's like wanting a porshe all your life and never getting one.. i'd rather buy a ten year old porshe and get to enjoy it while i'm young.

Don't get a paddle holster because it may not stay on your hip when you want it to. get something on a proper belt to support your shooting platform to train and practice with. Look around at what professional instructors, soldiers, trainers, and competitors are wearing and use that. Some of these people have millions of rounds downrange and 25+ years of experience using a gun, and holsters and belts for a living. Don't rely on marketing departments and reviews. Talk to people who count on the gear.
PS... Get a glock. It will work perfectly out of the box, is a great platform to learn on and reinforce fundamental skills without having to worry about parts, upgrades, malfunctions etc. Then as you gain experience and data points to use to make your own decisions on what you like or dislike, then start playing with other brands and styles.

Which is the BIGGEST draw for shooters who just want to shoot, thats why I bought my Norinco .45 which in turn got me to buy a Colt 38super.

Yepp.. trust me, I do not intend to be poor in the long term but getting rich requires not buying expensive pistols. An np-34 allows me to shoot when otherwise I could not.
I think it's one of the reasons why sports shooting has trouble recruiting. It's expensive. Sure Hockey is expensive too.. but usually parents will pay for the equipment. Not many urban parents will buy their kids guns.. and you have to be 18 for restricteds. So the average 18 year old around here is a freshman university student (or a student of some kind) so we don't have money and our parents won't pay because we are adults.
Which means we can't seriously get into shooting until we are a couple years into a career.
I've seen so many people who would just love to shoot. But a combination of bad laws and urban parents who do not approve of the sport due to lack of education in the matter cause these people to give up.

I would stay away from paddle holsters as they can be pulled out of your pants, especially when performing unusual scenarios, eg drawing with your weak hand. Uncle Mike's stuff is generally okay quality. However last weekend I was at a tactical pistol course and was doing a speed-reload on the run, and when I grabbed a mag out of my magpouch the whole unit fell apart and fell to the ground. 2 of the screws had become undone and were nowhere to be found, making the mag holder unusable. I just replaced the screws and made sure to Loctite them, which I recomend to anyone.
