OH BOY! Can Tire not selling pellets/ammo

Canadian Tire is not getting rid of pellets, if they were I am sure I would of heard something by now. Canadian Tires that do decide to expand their hunting section can order in most the items they want. The corporation however does set some limits. For example they will not allow them to carry handguns.
The Canadian Tire on MacLeod Trail south in Calgary is awsome, I have never seen more guns and ammo in any Canadian Tire, ever, even in the good old days before FACs.

Town's crappy tire store has Ammo, but they got rid of the guns a few years ago now. They seem to have a decent CF assortment but not very good RF assortment. They also don't have any 762soviet.

I am just relaying what I was told by an employee in the sports section at the Warden/Eglinton Can. Tire in Toronto where they already stopped selling pellets and ammo.
The sales dude in the Cdn Tire store in St-Jean, QC told me last year that they would no longer sell ammo when they run out. Apparently the public made complaints about having to walk by bullets.
I told him just wait for the onslaught of complaints if they don't sell ammo. If I have to go to the sporting goods store for ammo, I'd buy everything else there as well.

People, we have a greater worry over the next week.
If the Coup being led by Stephen Dion succeeds we will see in short order,
1.) No Democracy,
2.) No Guns,
3.) No Jobs.
Please, please, focus your efforts on writing your MP, Newspapers, and the GG and whip up public backlash against this very clear attempt at defeating a democratically elected governement by a sore loser.

Thanks I did and am doing that. If you don't mind I have a big enough brain to focus on more than one thing.
Last I checked the proposed coalition was operating exactly within our democratic framework, just because you don't like the outcome, doesn't mean its not democratic, just means we get stuck on the losing side unfortunately. Gun and job losses, undoubtedly.
Back on topic, the Canadian tire here in Milton sells ammo, not that much of a selection, but I've bought some 12g and .22 there. I've been thinking of maybe asking them to stock CeeBees since I don't want to have to go to LeBarons for them.
I don't know if the old Canadian Tire here ever sold guns, I'm too young to remember, but maybe I'll send off an email to their head office urging them to open up a firearms selection in Milton.

Maybe its just be but I find it strangely messed up that stores like Wal mart and Cdn. tire are getting out of selling guns and ammo.
They take ammo off the shelves for target shooters and hunters but stock up on air soft and paint balls for shooting at "people".

Rifles have not been sold at CT in my neck of the woods for years, though they still sell ammo ( only Federal and Rem I believe) but only in a few calibers like 30-06, 308 and 270.
I heard a while ago that some of the CT's lost their right to sell firearms due to poor management. From what I understand stores are checked from time to time and what they have in their books better be what they have physically in the store.
I am sure some dealers here will chime in, but from what I was told, they match every rifle(with serial number) with what they have in the books, and a few of the CT's were always having discrepancies.
This is what I was told, so I have no idea if its true, but it does make sense since majority of the time its young kids running the show there.
I know at the Baron Sport(Sail) near my work, when the guy who runs the firearm section goes on vacation, they just take orders and actually wait for him to complete the sales and transfers when he gets back because to many mistakes are made when he is gone.

I agree. I buy all 95% of my ammo at the small local huntin store.
