Just checked my trail cam....you draw your own conclusions.

I thought it would be all settled, long ago.
However, while the correct answer has been given several times, there still seems to be doubt.
A house cat it is. A big, fat-fannied house cat that is too well fed.
All the main points have also been given; short legs, belly in the light amount of snow, head too large for body, and too thick through. No self respecting cougar would be so thick in front of his hind quarters.
A cougars body would have been well above the snow line.

it all depends on if the photo was zoomed, or what days apart the photo's where taken.. if the photos where taken 3 weeks apart then there could be different levels of snow.. also if you can get two pictures of the originals, you can clearly see the size, as you have a deer as the refrence. The camera would not have moved (assumed) so it should be easily to to show it's not a cougar, if the full size versions are shown

I coulnt' make anything out of that either....

As for the picture, I cant' quite figure out the scale.....the more I look at it the more it looks like our old house cat that went completely obese after we got it fixed. :)

Keep looking for tracks you cant mistake those.

LOL I love drunk/stoned posts :slap:

Well actually the big event you are all turning WW's acid trip into has you all looking retarded. Turn on the news if you want a quandry. Ya you know, political coup. Oh no, lets all play house kitty detectives. krist it looks so much like a HC my ####ing dog barked. He's got the brains to call it for what it is..

The above was merely my opinion and in no way intended to hurt the thin skinned :weird:

I was not implying you were out to hurt anyone, I just had no idea what you were talking about. When I have to re-read a post 5 times to try and decipher it, I assume the poster has have a few drinks

I'm up to 3 re-reads on your last post. :p

Hey bro take your time. Your a moree'oler. The important thing for you on the island is not to give up on yourself. God loves you too:confused:

just checkd out the cougars roaming range and there are cougars in canada there in far western part to the mid coastal area, but i have no idea what that pic is

moree'oler

Again, and I apologize  I live in Quebec, so maybe this is a slang term I am not aware of, but looks like I will need some help on this word also.

I know in the area I hunt in Dunham Que., there have been some people who have said they have seen some cougars. I am sure they could be here, just not to many of them. My buddy said he had never seen a bear on his farm, or ever heard of anyone seeing one, yet my trail cam got a pic of one. Anything is possible.

Kitty?

When I look at the pic of those twin does the snow isn't very deep. Looking back at the kitty pic makes me think the snow still isn't very deep.

Lots of deer around your area?

In Eastern ON and West QC the deer numbers are way down from the heavy snows of last year. Lots of coyotes, though.

I've heard the same, especially North of Montreal. But funny thing is, I hunt SouthEast I guess it is of Montreal, and every time we got hit with a lot of snow(in Mtl.) they got rain, yet everyone I speak to in my hunting area reports a lot less deer, even though they were not hit with a lot of snow. Also interesting, is that many people told me that the does they shot were dry. In my group, out of three does taken, only one was milking.

Holy crap....I had no idea this thread would go so long!

ckc123~How can it be a "fake", as I made no representations as to what it was....in fact, I said: "You draw your own conclusions"

Perhaps a little RC refresher is needed? You might wanna look into that :)

As far as the original:
I had a micro-SD card and adapter in that camera, and checked the pics on my cell phone. I emailed that pic to myself from the cell, then put the card back in the cam. From the cell phone all I could see was that there was an animal in the pic, it wasn't until I opened my email that I saw the image you see.

The deer pics are originals (after this crap I started swapping cards).

I have set up a couple of cat-oriented baits in the area, and am using a couple of new moultrie I40's on then to see if I get something conclusive either way. If I do I will for sure post it.....but so far just a bunch of yotes, fishers, coons, crows, and red squirrel that lives too close to one of the cams :D

you forgot to say that you cropped and zoomed in the image.. By modifying the image you are trying to present an image which was not the same in the original.

how come you haven't posted the original?

As for your "Draw your own conclusions" how about drawing your own conclusion from this image

Holy cow...again with the reading comprehension.

I have misrepresented nothing. I posted a PICTURE. I did not state what it was, I did not even offer an opinon as to what I thought it was, I simply posted the pic, and asked for discussion.
If I KNEW what it was, I wouldn't have posted it....get it? Try and keep up...it gets a little more difficult from here on in ;)

On the upside, it opened a very interesting discussion.
On the downside, it allowed a couple of complete idiots the opportunity to show their lack of ability to actually read.

Now...stop trolling my thread, go and try and find a community college offering ESL courses, and come back when you can see what is plainly written...some of the adults are tryiing to have a conversation.....K?

Deer #'s seem to be the same as other years...but the bear #'s are off the charts! Weird thing with the bears is that they ALL seem to be 2 year old males...havent seen a sow or a cub at all, and no big boars wandering around either.....?
