What about a loop for your thumb so you could keep the thumb on the left side of your foregrip and use the thumb loop to chamber the shells?
 
Why not silver solder a length of "rail" to the underside of the barrel that acts like a guide. It would sit between the two forend rails and prevent the forend from twisting. You could then place your vertical grip at an angle (or sideways ala Sten Gun). At this offset angle one could add a longer picatinny rail to the forend than extends back. This would place the vertical grip even with the front of the magazine - thereby moving the hand away from the muzzle in the most forward position.

That's actually a good idea :)
I will let it sit for a bit and see how I feel in the near future ;)
 
I wonder if you could have a fore end tube made out of self lubricating plastic, then attach the action rails to a lager ring that goes around that, so that only the plastic touches the tube could stop the binding.
 
In case anyone's wondering what its like to stand beside that shotgun and film it. Its great there's almost no concussion, and it in no way feels like your being punched in the head. The fact that some of the video is taken further away is purely for framing issues and not because every shot takes five minutes off your life.
 
Don't everyone jump up to flay me at once...
but as a last option you could chop the mag short enough to run about flush with the bottom of the mag well in order to give you clearance with the front pg using a lower hold on it. It would probably be about 2 rounds I am guessing?
